in addition, the "push down" spring-ness is from, well, a spring under the shifter and not the tranny

I am ready to buy this thing as soon as it's ready!

I really would like to shorten the throw but not lower the height of the knob... It's surprising there isn't a shifter already available to do that. Perhaps the C's did? Can't find info on that one though...

Amen brother, as smooth as the OEM shifter is, it's like rowing a boat with that thang.

sounds like an improvement from the axial flow shifter i have. i'd consider "upgrading" if this turns out as well as described. i especially like the adjustment factor.
