well from all that had i read about Moddictions SS i had to jump on it this time around for the second group buy. a lot of good reviews on it and the best part is if you have any issues, Ryan stands behind all his products so really no worry. So the extra money you pay for a GREAT product (can't wait to get it) is matched with some GREAT customer service. I'd say jump on it while you can

I've had mine installed for two months or so and it feels stock now. The throws are shorter, more direct, and more purposeful. I have both the 2" and the smaller white (Q ball type) Moddiction shift knobs that are heavy. I would change out the stock shifter on any other S2000 I might buy in the future.

I had the same one that you had and sent it to AF they rebuilt it with new specs if you want the buzz gone. Mine buzzed like a mofo when in vtec but now nothing he also redesigned the way you put it in so all stock parts are used now no more little rubber boot.

I think either way you will be happy. I love mine and others love theirs. Moddiction is a great guy I have been think of getting one of his knobs.

I got my "Team Voodoo" Spun Titanium shift knobs on ebay off of this guy. The shifter drops about an inch from stock height and makes all the difference in the world. Mo need for expensive DIY mods. The price including shipping come out cheaper then Rick's and I have a couple of knobs from Rick's. He was willing to answer all my questions and shipped out quick. Here is my personal endorsement.

Honestly, this about the only car I've ever driven I can honestly say doesn't need a short shifter.

The whole reason many monies was spent on my MKV GTI on a short shifter, shifter bushings, and heavier shift knob was because of my brief experience driving an s2000 5 years ago. Now that I own an s2000, I still like shifting it better than my VW. I'm running megan racing motor mounts and the twmperformance big type r knob-- shifting is precise and buttery smooth.

I am looking at a my06 that has a short shifter. It is nearly impossible to depress it enough to get it shifted into reverse. Do you think it is the shifter or some other component of the transmission?
Did you notice a big difference in getting it into reverse as opposed to the factory shifter?
Thanks
