if you can afford this car and worrying about paying too much gas for a Sports car then you are buying the wrong car.

drive on the freeway with the top up, AC off, and cruise control on. you'll get excellent mileage.

i'm with vu on this one, i lost mpg's on my car when i installed the K&N 63 series intake.

as for lightening the load of the car, i'd imagine it'd only help if you lost ALOT of weight...
Why would I people about my intake? I track my mileage on every fill up and I usually get 240 a tank when I drive 90% city and 10% hwy. With my intake, I drove the $hit out of it the first week i had it b/c I reset the ecu, so I didn''t count that one but the last two weeks I filled up I got 261 and 164 per fill-up. Everyone's experience may vary especially if you constantly modulate the throttle just to hear the noise of an intake.

Hey man you can make it seem all fancy, but I;m not buying a new s2000...

You can easily buy a used one for under 20K.. for like the same price as a toyota camry.

Gas mileage is definitely an issue in my decision for buying a car..

I think only some exhausts make it lose power, others make it gain!

Comptech SC AP2, I'm getting 22-24mpg with 70% round town and 30% highway driving. With 80-90% highway driving I'm getting about 27-28mpg. I'm sure if I was tough on the car for an entire tank I'd be down to 20mpg or maybe even less but I'd really need to try to get that low of mileage.
