Default Modifications in general

Hey guys I'm looking at S2000s and I'm wondering how hard it would be to bring the looks of an older one up to date. For example how would I install an ap2 front bumper, is that something that I can do at home or do I need to take the car somewhere, does it come painted already when I buy it? Basically what if anything can I do at home with no experience thanks.

"2004 Conversion How-to's List!!!" Everything is fairly simple and you should be able to do it yourself even though you have no experience. Try to do it all yourself, you'll learn about your car, have some fun, and feel great looking at the finished product. Also, neither the front bumper or rear bumper come painted from the factory, you'll have to get a shop to paint it for you.

You can look at hardtopguy.com to get an idea of what everything would cost.

It's fairly expensive, but easy to do with the exception of the tail lights. If I recall correctly, that's the only one that requires some cutting/modification.

my car is an "older" version, 2002 ap1. it looks fine in my opinion and you don't really have to change the front bumper to "update" the image. if the ap1 you're looking at doesn't look good, then just add a lip.

Thanks for all the info. This is slightly irrelevant to my previous post but does anyone know what exactly the thing behind the head rests is?

Tonneau cover. Looks like a Veilside or similar/replica.
