Default Modified S2000 Engine Question

So I'm looking at an 2000 S2000 with a Turbo setup that is cutting out at high boost. My question is more about the engine. If compression is good and it was sleeved and rebuilt with 87mm pistons with a 9.1:1 compression ratio then can I only run boost on the car? Or could I remove the turbo and drive the car as is? Appreciate the help!

Buy an s2000 that isn't turbo already. Just my opinion. If you want N/A just like factory why even look at one that is already turbocharged?

You can do what you said, the car will run fine with the proper tuning. But why would you? Save your time and find a car more close to OEM if that is what you want buying this car is ill advised.
