Modifry Camera Mount w/ DSLR

Modifry Camera Mount w/ DSLR
Will a Modifry camera mount (not the low-profile one) work with a camera body like a 40D w/ a 2lb lens? Or would that be pushing it?
I don't want it to vibrate like crazy or not stay in place...
Searching only yielded one answer but it wasn't clear if it was aimed towards the Modifry's or the Ztecindustries mount..
I also saw a picture where someone had just the base of the Modifry bracket with a Manfrotto quick-release mount on it which would be incredibly sturdy but don't know how I could mount the quick release plate to the Modifry base plate...
Thanks for the input!

I use it with a Nikon D5100 with a basic lightweight 18-55 with VR... I get a little vibration, but not terrible and it stays in place nicely... but a 40D is a bit bigger and heavier so Im not too sure.

Well, I will essentially only be using the base bracket...
I found exactly what I was looking for from a user named dead-bird (his pictures originally posted here):
Gonna most likely order up another Manfrotto 323 quick release & the Modifry bracket next paycheck. If I do, I'll post my results =)
