Default Modifry Dash Bracket vs Panavise

so im looking for a mount for my s2k that will hold my iphone/ipod
the modifry dash bracket seems to be the popular one out of the 2, but i kinda like the Panavis one a bit more because its a little more out of site, and if i plug the ipod into the back of the head unit i think i will be able to conceal the wire a little better since its lower

but like i said it seems the majority are going with the modifry dash bracket, anyone have both and want to chime in??
the only thing the concerns me about the panavise mount is that it looks like it may interfere with the passengers legs...

I have the modify bracket and when I mount the iPhone vertically with the cable attached it gets in the way of shifting.

Which one to suggest really depends on your preferences. I definitely prefer the location of Modifry's bracket but it has a bit more flex than the Panavise. However, I think his bracket was slightly redesigned since I purchased it and it may not flex quite as much. Mine flexes too much for a ProClip swivel dock and an iPhone. The Panavise bracket doesn't flex at all.

Panavise doesn't interfere with the passenger's leg. If you have someone really tall in the passenger seat who has to bend his/her knees quite a bit it may be a problem but if the passenger's legs fit normally then you shouldn't have a problem.

I have to clarify -- I haven't actually tried the iPhone on the Modifry bracket. I was using my Droid and it was borderline too heavy (a bit of bouncing) so I didn't even bother trying the IP4S. I can't speak to any cabling concerns with the Modifry bracket. I only had a power cable running for the Droid (to the ProClip dock).

IIRC there are pics here. Try a site restricted Google search as the built-in search isn't all that great.

I had both. the modifry will cause the dash bezel to stick out slightly. the panavise is a little low and might interfere with opening the radio door. I had both and sold both.

I have the Modifry bracket. Just looked at the Panavise bracket and I'm not a fan of the location. The Modifry bracket is perfect because its in the perfect location when I use my phone as a Navigation. I have an Android Galaxy S and the bracket is very stable(no flexing). Its also out of the way when I shift.

My dash bezel is perfectly flush as it was before I had the modifry bracket. I believe you have to shave a small part on the inside of the dash bezel so when you hook up the bracket it sits flush. My modifry bracket looks like an OEM option.

i have the modifry dash bracket along with proclip iphone 4/4s holder. it is the only solution i would even consider. its a little expensive but well worth it. i use navigon and i could not be happier with the placement. it does not get in the way of anything and is right in my face.

i shaved mine quite a bit, just like in the instructions. I still have a gap the size of the mount.
