Does anyone know where i can get some of those clamps that the drifters use to hold the body parts on, ive checked all the resources i know:

bulletproofautomotive.com
evasivemotorsports.com
aj-racing.com
speedstar.com
gtmotoring.com
LOWES
advance auto parts......

i think mugen makes some but i dont know where to look, can you guys help me out?
None of those people will have them. Look at Summit or another real racing supplier. They are called DZUS fasteners.

Thats a good idea too, most of the dampeners that i have found are pretty expensive and i think are a little overkill for this application. the rear section shouldnt weigh that much so i dont think i will need a full blown dampener. but we'll see, hopefully my ht comes in today!!!

Another place to check for the dampers would be your friendly neighborhood auto parts store. Most of them have a TON of those lift shocks in stock in various lengths.

yeah that was kind of my plan. i dont need some $175 super dampeners or anything, just something that will do the job.

I was going to get a spare trunk, cut out the area inside of where the hatch touched the trunk, and then have it molded together. From there I was going to use gas struts mounted somewhere in the trunk or something.

But..i sold the top instead.
