Not trying to rain on your parade but....too many changes in direction between the intake and the airbox at the engine - the friction and inertial losses associated with this tortuous path destroys the free-flow of air to the engine - it will not "breath freely". You don't want to have the engine having to do extra work to get the air to the intake valves because any work done here is a net reduction in horsepower output. As nice as it might look you will get what you pay for and this might be less than you expected. The filter alone would have been my first clue. There is a reason that the PRM is so successful - it is direct, it is tuned (frictional losses are minimized) and it has a great filter to protect your engine from the effects of particulate matter in the air that is mostly like digesting glass (called sand and dust). If you can get a K&N filter onto the end I would do it quickly before I drove anywhere. Good luck.
The PRM is considered one of the worst when it comes to power increases.....
For the price this intake looks very good. I would get a K&N filter and see how you like it than. How does the intake sound?
Do you have data to back this up? Don't make unsubstantiated claims unless you give us some proof.

Love my PRM and have zero desire to change it... Proven gain over a stock and even an AEM.... I would like to point out that the AEM intake runs right behind the radiator... I wonder where all that air that just went through the rad to cool it off is going.... OH blowing on that Intake tube that is running right there.... huh and people are worried about heat soak and such...

Seriously people need to stop just assuming that an intake is bad when they have no proof. I have had several intake setups incuding an FIPK with the AUT plate, and now have the PRM with an APR plate, and I can say that I noticed 0 difference between these 2 intakes except for a slight different sound, and the PRM has a tiny bit more heatsoak when just sitting still which is to be expected. The FIPK had it almost just as bad so it's not like a crazy difference.

To the OP, I don't even know why all this started but sorry about getting off topic about your intake. If you put a K&N filter on there you will be good to go, just as good as any name brand CAI's.

I would recommend an aem dryflow filter, just because the k&ns require oil, and the aem is oil-less. Makes it easier to maintain

I ordered an aem filter yesterday. Should come late today or tomorrow.

The gain you noticed is a placebo effect due to the sound.

i had an ingen intake and honestly it looks exactly like that one but costs $300. the filter and houses might be a little better but all that takes is an inexpensive trip to the auto store. I would assume that anyone with basic mechanical knowledge would be able to make that Ebay kit fit well and save them selves $200. I saw that exact kit on ebay the other day while trying to sell my old ingen kit and that kit seems like a steal. People need to realize that most of the name brand kits are marked up way to much. yeah you might have to spend $20 on some parts to make it fit perfect but id rather pay it then pay AEM to do it and charge me an arm and a leg. I understand not wanting to put ebay parts on your car but the intake is a non critical part. It isn't like you are putting Ebay retainers or cams in your engine. I could care less if piping from my throttle body to my air filter is tested or not. especially when they copy one that is already tested. Plus most of those dyno numbers are doctored and vary from car to car and lots of other factors.
