Thanks for the tips. I'm not NA'd, and plan on some heavy duty tracking at one point. The stopping distance suits me just fine with the stockers, just looking to reduce some fade, etc.

basically to sum it up the race guys think its perfectly ok to run race fluid and race pads which will eat the shit out of rotors. Since its a 'race car' or whatever this is supposedly acceptable. Also the addition of brake ducts will suffice in cooling and make the oem makes suitable for track duty.

IMO a good brake system should be able to take alot of abuse without the expense of eating away your rotors or the need to run extremely aggresive pads.

This is where BBK come in. Larger rotors to handle the heat and bigger calipers to provide more clamping force.

there are 2 reasons for BBK in my opinion:

1. Biggest is the that 4 opposed pistons really help with brake feel coming off the pedal - trail braking. The difference, assuming one knows how to do this properly, is reason enough to buy them

2. probably not as important (for the lightweight s2000) is the proper venting and size even the same diametre rotors provide

We sell these and believe heavy cars like M3 desperately need them assuming any driver talent on track. Can't comment with certainty on s2000 but can't imagine 1 piston is sufficient when ultimately coming off that brake pedal.

Most people who track their S2000s think the stock brakes work fine on the track. A few disagree. YMMV. The fastest drivers don't use their brakes as much anyway.

If you have a lot more power or weight than stock, you may need more brakes than most people.

I'm currently laying down around 350WHP, and am considering the KW Variant 3's and some brakes. I am very savvy as to bike racing, but am a n00b to auto racing, as well as to the S2K. I've had more expensive cars, but I really like this thing. It's a blast to drive, and to mod. Thanks again for all the great input.

the fact that you raced mc was not lost to me. Trust me you will get fast very fast. I find the quickest learners and ultimately amongst the fastest drivers on track/racers come from mc especially knee draggers or motards. MC survives solely based on managing a very tiny traction patch.
