i'm looking to buy a CF top for my car next but i don't know which one to get
mugen is too expensive....my budget is only around 2500-3000
vis seems to fit my budget but i don't know about their fitment...been reading some reviews some say they're good some say they're not

IMHO, the best around right now is the Challenge. Beautifully, beautifully made.

Challenge is around 4500 shipped so that is not gonna work with your budget. Imo Vis tops are pretty good. also so you know vis=seibon I believe they are the same thing. As far as hardware the best thing to do would be keep your oem hardware because vis hardware sucks. If I were you I would never give up oem quality for a replica top. If you are getting rid of the Oem top becasue you like the Mugen Style I would save up and just buy an frp authentic Mugen. just my 2 cents

o vis and seibon are the same?
i never knew...
and yes the only reason i'm changing is because i like the mugen style top
so now i'm just having trouble finding a cf top thats got good fitment.
been looking and reading thru many posts but still can't come up with anything cause one post may say its good then the next one i find will say its not
so its very confusing...

I think it is a major downgrade to go from OEM to a knock off like Seibon or Vis. I know they have their fans on this forum, but they are fake parts that copied from a company with real engineering.

Besides, OEM and Mugen aren't far from each other by any means in used price. If you are lucky you might even get someone to do a one for one swap for an AUTHENTIC Mugen top.

I agree with everyone. Why stoop down to a replica if you got OEM? Like stated above, a REAL Mugen HT should be very close in price to a OEM.

'cause if they're that close then i might as well sell my oem top and buy a mugen top
