Default need help with clutch and flywheel

I just bought my first S2k. I live downtown with gated parking and parking on the street, like a da i parked on the street at around noon to grab a fresh shirt for a meeting maybe gone 10 mins some ass-jack hits it but luckily not too bad, light damage to fender bumper may be able to be saved.
So the next day I was going to a car audio shop to see what could be done about a video/Nav install and it stops pulling int 3rd well then 2nd would pull, well clutch went out so i made it to the shoulder about 65ft from an exit. Since it wasn't too much i had reverse and backed it down the ramp to a hotel, so anyways when i bought it they said it had a comprehensive coverage, it is a used certified car, I had the car 2 days when it happened, the thing is the clutch felt fine, unless im just not used to a S2k clutch but almost every car ive had has been a stick
so yeah i should have put it in the gate but the clutch would still be jacked up, need some advice here please guys quick.
The honda place may cover it but i need the car fixed whether they do or not, so what are my options.
Car is stock for not it will not stay that way long, i dont plan on nos or turbo but I will do some performance add ons etc
I went to hardtopgy.com and ngot thse prices.
Well fisrt do i go oem parts or act or what?

ACT- lightened flywheel,hd pressureplate, trans drain and fill plug washers, honda throw out bearing, honda trans fluid,OEM clutch friction disc basically $1200

OEM - flywheel and pilot bearing, pressure plate, throwout bearing, friction disc, honda trans fluid, trans drain and fill plug washers - $ 800

I know there are alot of JDM items i could go with and I am a JDM fan so please advise, I dont want to spend $ just to spend $ but i would rather spend a little more now than later
Thanks
btw i did a search and read many threads to get the info to ask the question

One more thing how bad is this install, honda told me 8-10 hours at the dealership but i cant believe its that long?

The stock clutch setup works very well. There is no need to change unless you are making significantly more hp. I have 100,000 miles on my original clutch and my car has spent significant time at the track.

yeah my clutch went out had to be towed in, also,
while im having ther clutch installed would it be wised to have the timing belt etc tune uo done, like i said ive had mine for less than a week and i know some times while they are in there close to something its alot easier/cheaper to have a few more things done

how hard is the install, i feel they are raping me on the install price,

Anyone know of someone near Birmingham,AL

I was going tio go with ACT b/c i will be adding performancer parts as oon as its running again
thanks

We don't have a timing belt, we have a chain. It's basically good for the life of the motor.

Well the ACT will give you a slightly stiffer feel on the pedal. The oem unit works just fine but has been called "the weakest link in our cars". Tends to give out if you drive too agressively. I have changed my clutch on jack stands with nothing more than mere hand tools in 5 hours. If you really wanna read up on it read this write up cmense did:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry1036057

Im in central FL. If i was closer i'd come over and help you with the install cuz screw honda's 10 hours at who knows how much an hour. Its not that complicated, but whatever you do Good luck!

and btw why are you draining the tranny fluid? Its not required and i dont know how many miles are on your car but after about (?) 60,000 miles its a pretty bad idea.
