Wow lot of replys thanks guys, but he wants to run Dual. He told me that once he gets his income tax he will be turboing his car also. So is that going to make a difference in the exhaust. Im sorry about all these questions, but I dont want to ruin the xmas present. He will catch on quick.

Another question, will the dual or single exhaust be a factor once his car is turboed?
if hes planning to turbo, definitely get a 70mm piping exhaust, as it will make more power than a 63mm or 60mm. single or dual will be fine.

i personally have a t1r-em 70mm dual, it was my first choice and i love it. i think most can agree this is one of the best exhaust out there and you wont regret getting this for him. also its one of the quietest 70mm exhaust out there making ~14whp and there is little to no drone. this is also comparable to the t1r 70mm sparrow, which comes with bigger tips as to the t1r-em which has smaller tips and oem-like. might want to ask him if he prefers bigger or smaller tips. also the t1r is a true 70mm piping straight through where as some duals go from 70mm and split into 63mm.

If you can afford the T1R exhaust get him one of those best bang for the buck. I love my invidia q300 not too loud and looks great

Everyone thank you so much. I got one day left or researching to get this exhaust seems like im going to get the T1R em with the 70mm. Only one last question my littlebrother told me about a resenator.. What in the world is that?? The little man said it was to make the car less raspy or noisy??
Sorry and thanks all of your help was greatly appritiated!!

Not sure if it's been posted, but what's your price range?

Reason I ask, is if you're able to spend a little more(compared to the 70EM), I'd go for the ASM 60mm single.

I used to have the EM dual, single, and now currently the ASM 60. Hands down one of the quietest exhaust I've heard on an S2000. The 70EM can get very "boomy" inside the car, which can get a tad annoying sometimes. Just a thought.

a resonator is like a mid-muffler, its mostly to tone down the volume of the exhaust. if your going with the t1r-em 70mm, it has a resonator on it already.

here is a t1r-em for example, 2 canisters on the sides are mufflers, middle one is a resonator.

I've had a few exhausts and hks is most definitley a quiet exhaust, maybe to quiet.

I have the t1r em dual. It's a great exhaust. Yes, it is a pretty penny but you get what you pay for.
