Default new to s2k need help

i just got a s2k CR!!!!! i love it compared to the old civic si. i was looking into what kind of exhaust i should get that is good quality but not outrageously priced.

also i was wondering about the intake. is a aem cold air the way to go or just a spoon duct on the stock box? the stock box looks REALLY big but wanted some input. thanks guys

look into the t1r 70r or the 70rt exhaust. i really like th t1r 70r v3 makes nice power. i have the 70rt on the way cause i just bought another s2000. but anway its in the 1400 range and i believe makes the most power and sounds amazing. or if you wanna keep it dual exhaust you can look into the t1r 70mm sparrow. and for intake just go with a snorkel it doesn't look as cheap as the tube style intake and does the same thing. look at evasivemotorsports.com or aj-racing.com, i'm sure both places will be happy to help

stock air box not as heavy once u gut it and remove the silencer , spoon snorkle is expensive so is t1r , both look great though and t1r does sound sweet, but he did say inexpensive and both those items are neither.

maybe the greddy 70mm thats if u want a single exhaust , not sure how u feel about knock offs but ebay has spoon knock offs that do the same and look the same as the real deal , just not kevlar

if you get rid of the stock air box it will look way too empty imo. spoon carbon air duct is good. I have heard of sketchy stories with the aem ones sucking up water be careful.

IVE CUT THE SEPERATE RIGHT PART OFF THE BOX, BUT SHOULD THE DIVIDER ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOX BE CUT OUT ALSO?

FOR NOW IM JUST GONNA SAVE UP TO GET AN EXHAUST FIRST, NOT SURE WHAT KIND.

ALSO IS A HIGH FLOW CAT REALLY BENEFICIAL? SOMEONE TOLD ME NOT TO GET A HIGH FLOW CAT BECAUSE IT WOULD NEED MORE BACK PRESSURE. WHAT IS THE OPINION ON THAT?

The stock cat is fine. It makes enough power. A highflow cat will not net much power gain if any.

Bolt ons are not going to get you very far. A $1400 exhaust might get you 5hp or so.

Just drive it. Spend money on HPDEs. Unless...you're....going to hard park a CR?

In my opinion theres no intake out there that has proven its money. I gained 7whp with the berk test pipe on back to back dynos. Also for exhaust I would get any single 70mm. It will make the most power. After that theres not much that makes any power for this car. Bolt-ons usually arent worth the money in this car, you wont see any noticeable difference.
