Default o2 sensor help

Hi all I think my secondary o2 sensor finally quit. The tip sheared off into the cat a while back no cel. Recently I added a test pipe with j shape defouler no issue. Two days ago I installed a berk hfc with said j shape and instant p0138. Reset. Comes back instantly. Did this 4 times. Im thinking its done as the the last time I pulled it out it was soaking wet. Anyhow its time for a new one and I found this on amazon and ebay does this look right for 06 up dbw cars? I know they changed for dbw

this is the issue i have been discussing and no one replies to. i believe that the 06 cars with a HFC tends to make too much moisture on start up. < see tsb for a reflash for 06 cars > i would be careful putting in a new sensor as it may get damaged again from the water.

you have a few options.

i bought a flash pro since

-i will not have a dealership working on my car
-i didnt throw a CEL for the primary ( this would be the only way they would change the front o2 sensor and give you a reflash )
-make sure no exhaust leak between cat and header as it may scavenge extra air
-the flash pro has the updated Flash for OEM.

i have shut off my secondary o2 for now.

-i will be installing a new donut gasket and using the spark plug defouler method. then i will change the o2 sensor since i have a slightly used one that was in working condition. if i still throw a CEL then during inspection time i will just have to swap out my HFC and put on my stock cat.

i do have a theory

everyone knows a by product of exhaust gasses passing through the the cat = h20. now since the HFC has a built in defouler with a smaller opening, during warm up the water build up gets in the hole and pools on chamber. i may drill an extra hole for draining on the built in defouler so that the water can escape.

i will attempt this soon, but as of right now it is way too damn cold in my garage.

I read up on the 06 and some 07 cars having the cold start issue. However this is my second hfc with same j shape defouler the first never gave me issue. I am running flash pro and am in the middle of data logging. How does hfc vs stock cat build up the moisture to throw the code?

when you have the stock cat on there is no built in defouler. so there is no place for the condensation to build up and drown the sensor. if you look at your HFC it should have a built in defouler, but it only has one small opening, if water gets through there it will not be able to drain. effectively drowning the sensor.

Makes perfect sense. How do we get the update via flashpro?

My check engine light just came on this morning on the way to work... 3 weeks ago I just replaced the secondary o2 on my berk test pipe and sure enough now it threw the code for the primary... If u know anyone selling flash pro please lmk I don't care if it's used as long as it's good condition... Can't believe these o2 sensors are really that bad of an issue lol

Yes the secondary o2 didn't throw a code... I used the defoulers so that one is ok but the primary I never have touched and all of a sudden it just so happened to be today... When I got to work I ran a short test for faults and said primary o2 performance which is a plausibility fault basically... So I cleared the light and after 2 drive cycles it came back on. So I figured if I'm having this fault is it really worth buy the primary and installing it myself and have honda do the software update or is it worth driving for a little with the check engine and buy flash pro along with the primary sensor and do the reflash and tune it at the same time?

Leave code on and put stock cat on. Take to Honda under the tsb if your cel comes on due to primary o2 sensor they'll replace if needed and do the software update so I read.
