Default OEM hardtop

So today I just picked up a used oem roof, wasn't planning on it but saw one for a super good price so I had too. Its sitting on my car right now with the front clamps but I need to drive it on the highway tomorrow to the autoshop to be repainted, wondering if anyone has suggestions for securing the rear until I get teh installation kit installed and if it can cause any damages with it right now sitting on the car without the installation kit? thanks a bunch.

Out of curiosity, why don't you wait until you get the installation kit before painting it if you have to transport the top with your S for paint?

You'll be alright, I've loan my hardtop to locals before. They have no rear hardware and drove on the highway back home just fine. The only thing I have to say is to lubricate the rear seals, so you don't destroy your seals from no strikers support on the rear. I learn the hard way, my hardtop was scraping on the black hard rubber seal connected on the rear of our s2ks.
