Default OEM Hardtop Help

Hey guys, so I have an OEM hardtop for my S. Problem is, on the right side it sits about .25 inches higher than the left. Meaning its not an even fit. It also rattles inside and has some wind noise. Any help would be great.

It's possible the side catchers need to be adjusted?

It is quite common, on mine the left side sits a bit higher. You can adjust by removing spacers from underneath the front latches, that may also reduce the rattles as it tightens the roof as you remove spacers. If worse comes to worse you can even add washers under the front striker plates to pull the top down tighter. On my car my front latches had lost their tension for some reason, I also had to buy new latches which really helped out. Try all of the adjustments first beginning with the rear catchers and making sure it meets factory gap specs, then move to the front parts that I mentioned.

Suggest you also check they striker attachment bolts for tightness. Mine just loosened up after 85k miles.
