Default OEM Seat Upgrades - Limitations?

I'm rather fond of the newer OEM seats with the solid headrest and I am trying to determine what it would take to upgrade. I know there are minor differences between between the various years but I can't seem to find any detailed information on the fitment changes from one OEM seat to the next. Do we already have resources on this site that detail this info that I simply couldn't find? If not, maybe we could collect/share knowledge?

The passenger seat in 06+ mounts to the floor differently than MY04-05.

I do believe the driver's side mounts the same though.

Wow. That means some major modifications need to be made, most likely to the seat rails.

Has anyone actually performed such a mod? I can't just upgrade one seat after all.

I did a ap1 to ap2 seat upgrade...

I kept the frame and padding -- just added more closed cell faom to fit the AP2 seat skins.

building up the height

enclosing the head rest and craving to fit...

one done...

both done and installed!!

I really like the full headrest

Wow, good job on those seats. I just have Clazzio seat covers, and they cover those holes in the seats. They are only around $300 from GoTuning.

Thanks!
but actually they can't look better than CR seats...
because they are CR seats

I bought them from a member here and did the re-upholstery myself.

I like them much better than the leather seats (no sliding around in the twisties) and I loved the leather seats.

damn that look nice! I'm saving up for the black w/ rec center+red stitching. my seats are fine but it wouldn't hurt to protect em since they cost an arm and leg
