Default OEM Spare

Maybe this is dumb but I'll ask anyways. I'm currently running 17" rims and am wondering if I get a flat will I be able to use my spare since the OEM wheels are 16"? Are the AP2 spares larger? Thanks

Not sure about the size difference, but if you have to use the spare, never use it on the rear of the car. The different diameters of the wheels and tires will cause damage to your diff.

2 cans of Fix-a-flat and a plug kit. I don't carry spares any more.

A spare is a waste of weight. Get a tire sealant. Carry it in the trunk. Off load your spare and save if for when you sell the car. Join a roadside assistance program. And carry a cell phone. When you get a flat, call for roadside assistance. If you do not have cell phone connectivity, then put in the tire sealant and drive to where you do.
Many manufacturers no longer even put spares in their cars--BMW, Volvo, etc.

Ap2 and ap1 Tires are the same out side diameter. The spare tires should be the same. Yes you can use the spare just read the manual.

His question is if it will work due to his dilemma is that he has 17" wheels while his spare is 16".
I do not know the answer myself, just trying to clear that up if it was overlooked.
IMO the only thing wrong with it would be the suspension? Just based on replacing a friend's flat accord wheel with a donut recently.

the rim diameter is different, but the tire sidewall height is different as well. should come out to about the same diameter in total i think

What sealant do you recommend? Fix a flat?
