i did notice the thermostat made the car run a tad cooler but by no means was it below operating temperature and i noticed my car to have a little more torque in the lower to midrange rpm's

Maybe the mugen professionals can answer this question for me, i posted a while back in the official mugen thread but not really anyone answered me. I was researching the mugen ap2 header on here, and it seems common for the header to crack at the headshield mounting points and the transmission mount points. How many owners have had this happen, is this a few isolated or seems to be the norm with the mugen headers. How good is King Motorsports on replacing these if you're out of the warranty period.

I have the fan switch and rad cap. I have noticed the fan comes on earlier, but other than that I can't testify to seeing a difference. My car always ran cool.

As for the thermostat, I was warned against it by a friend. His reasoning was based on the fact that the ECU is designed for a stock thermostat so having one that is colder does not let the car run at operating temp, therefore it is operating too cold. I don't know if there is any truth to that but I was too lazy to install it anyway.
Because i live in the deep south i was thinking about doing this too. Heat and humidity are a bitch here in the summer.

Has anyone posted a DIY for the Mugen top, or should i just follow the OEM install DIY?

And on another note, im going to be purchasing my Mugen top sometime around October, and ive had one lingering question....WHo should i go through? IM talking along the lines of shipping time, customer care/service, price etc?
King Motorsports. They warranty their parts I think. They may have some in stock. If not, it will be a long wait.

I don't have an AP2, but if I recall correctly, it is lower than oem. By how much I'm not sure, but PM Stratocaster since he has this setup on his car.

I have both. I would say the splitter is over a halfinch lower than the oem AP2 lip.

just installed my mugen top tonight with the help of rajun asian, installing all the parts to the top was a bit confusing when looking at the directions so i just used good old common sense and it was easy. As far as mounting the peices to the car use the DIY thread its dead on. Took about 2 hours, but could easily be done in an hour. let me know if you have any questions.
