never had a problem with mine and has been on for a couple of years now.
With one year being supercharged and lots of track time with a very stiff suspension setup TEIN SRC.
I wrapped my header with thermotech wrap and still used the heat shield.
King said that they would still warranty the header even if I wrapped it since I was using thermotech.
And FYI
The Mugen AP2 exhaust netted about 15whp and 12ftwtq on a AP2 Roots supercharged S2000 at 6psi.
( before Mugen AP2 header and stock OD TP;
after same + cat back)
AP2 Header gains (when I was NA) are linked in my sig.
(Before stock header, stock OD TP, stock cat back,
after Mugen header + the same as before)
Mugen Pressure plate + stock Disk + Comptech Flywheel is only good up to about 220-235wtq ( dyno dynamics with no external correction)

I had no issues with warranty replacement.
Make sure the body shop didn't try to force the 'lip' of the headlight surround into the headlight bracket clip the OEM bumper lip goes into.
On my SS bumper cover, that lip fits over the clip on the headlight bracket. Fitment is close to 100% OEM.
