Default The Old Man Needs more...

Ok well...

My father has a 2002 S2k, Triple black with NO NO NO miles on it (4k or so.) I've recently talked him into selling one of his daily drivers (Modded SRT Magnum...yuck) Due to gas, and other reasons. Sooooo now he's wanting me to poke around and find which pieces will make it go...lol.

From what I've seen on the boards as far as intakes...PWJDM is where it's at, which is why it's ordered already.

Header....?!?!??! I've pulled dyno after dyno, opinion after opinion...but still am in the dark with which header (nothing crazy expensive) is a good option. From hytech being in the dark about when they're dropping their design, all the way to the T1R, which looks like it'd be a great piece.

Exhaust - Going T1R 70mm V3 single...duh.... lol

So basically I've compiled these three parts together...well intake exhaust, and was really wondering if anyone has any experience with this intake and exhaust with (X) header???

Numbers...opinions and anything else welcome!!

thanks guys

For the Header, any reputable aftermarket brand will do. J's has shows some big gains, as well as T1R's Header. Berk's Header gives some decent gains and costs around $500.

As far as exhaust goes, I really think you should look into the T1R 70R EM. If gives great gains, and won't make your father go deaf.

the berk header is good for its price. i have dyno proven gains with it (+5 whp) and it does help in the midrange area. you could expect more with a tune.

I don't get the NO NO NO part.

Anyway, have you looked into FI? 'coz FI will make it GO.

He's just saying it has really low miles.

I think I saw that AP1's respond very well to Rick's headers. Not sure if they are still made though.

Make sure dad doesn't mind a really loud car if you are thinking about a single exhaust.

I've thought good and hard about putting gears on it. However, his commute to work from where we live is about 36 to 40 miles into Dallas TX, and I'm not sure how many RPMs get turned at 75/80 MPH, but I'd imagine it'd be a tad high......4.57's possibly tho?

I'll surely run some searches/info on berk, ricks, and other headers...and also check about the single exhaust, and who knows maybe he's up for dropping a S/C in it?!

Thanks again all
