Default Ordered Exedy Clutch but received this

I recently ordered an Exedy clutch from Fleabay. It was supposed to be a stage 1 clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearing kit. I know originally honda put a clutch in these cars marked FCC and that's what I got I think. Take a look at these pics and tell me if you can identify this clutch.

Exedy is an OEM, and supplies many OE clutches for Honda. What was the part number on the box?

FCC makes the OEM friction disc and pressure plate for the Honda S2000.

You may have an OEM pressure plate but that friction disc is not OEM.

There is not a single legit full OEM clutch kit on eBay. I've tried to find one.

The OEM friction disk looks like this.

If I were you I would get rid of that friction disc ASAP and just buy an OEM friction disc. They run about $120 shipped.
Exedy's OEM replacement clutch is a POS and will break.

It was supposed to be a stage 1? Exedy doesn't make a stage 1 for the S2000, last I remember.

You really should buy an OEM Honda disc, bearings, and grease. That pressure plate is probably fine to use, I suppose.

I am with Soviet, I had the OEM clutch friction disc from the dealer in my hands last week when I changed my clutch and what you have pictured is NOT OEM. The picture Soviet posted is what mine looked like. That pilot bearing is also not OEM.

I'm not saying the disc is OEM. I think the pressure plate is OEM which seems to be the general consensus here.

After digging around online I think they sent me a stage 2 clutch disc with an OEM pressure plate.

Think 0+2=1 if that makes any sense.

Reason why I think this is because every stage 2 disc I've seen has the 6 springs where as OEM and some stage 1 stuff has 4.

that disk looks like junk, I wouldn't waste my time/money installing it if I were you. The springs aren't encapsulated well enough, look at how beefy the OEM disk looks in comparison. I bet it won't last a year

As for the pressure plate, a lot of the aftermarket companies that sell pressure plates for our cars start with a FCC pressure plate because they don't have a casting to make the part from scratch, then they modify them, paint them and sell them. There was a member on s2ki who worked at ACT and confirmed this is how the ACT PP was made for the s2000

Exedy will fail in < 20k miles. As per research on these boards. And like one has said there is no Exedy oem replacement that's legit.

OEM is what you want or the ACT/OEM combo. As an additional option others will use Clutchmasters and SOS. Be smart from the beginning.
