Paint Protection between Bumper and Lip
I think the little rubber molding prevents the dirt from getting in between the bumper and lip as it sits right up against the bumper. I'm not talking about an air tight seal or anything like that, but there is virtually no wiggle room on my lip at all.
PS: Trade me cars. I want a Monza Red Pearl AP1 so bad.
okay thanks feezy.
problem is, that i wont buy an oem lip because of the extreme high price at HONDA.
so i gonna buy an aftermarket oem rebuild lip, this one:

and i dont think that this one will fit as good as the oem honda lip.
and what do you mean with "trade me cars"?

The amount of time and money you put into an aftermarket lip to be on the car is not worth it in my opinion. S2000 is the first car I ever bought an OEM lip and to me it's worth the price because of the quality product and paint, proper fitment, predrilled holes and it comes with the hardware.
The hassle you can put yourself through to get it right may not be worth the difference in prices, even small defects or details that are not right can be annoying.
I went through 4 OEM lips and every single one of them was worth it lol.
