Wow, haha. I never thought painting something under my hood could promote such a strong opinion. I've painted plastic parts like this in the past with out any issues. Yea maybe after a great deal of time it might need a repaint but that honestly wouldn't bother me. thanks for your opinion and I hope your day gets a little more positive.

Here is living proof that it will not crack

Painted my: Windshield wiper fluid cap and neck, relief valve on the fuel rail, Brake fluid cap, radiator reservoir,and fuel rail cover. One year later still looks new.
