You could get some paint fade, but the roof is detached enough from the car so that any difference in color wouldn't be that noticeable... whereas a panel meeting a door can be seen a bit more easily.

What color is your car btw? That question is probably best asked to the painter him/herself as they'll be able to tell you if it needs mixing together 2 panels (forgotten what the proper term is... like spraying the new color over the old one to mix it in) but I very much doubt it

you definatly want who ever to match the paint by taking spectrum pictures of the paint. if you just go buy the paint by the code, chances are it will be off a little bit. by taking a spectrum pic of your old paint, who ever should be able to match it perfectly. i found this out myself thru experience with painting my bumpers.
