Default painting lug nuts

hello everyone - my silverstone is detailed with all black accents (replaced emblems, black grills, black calipers, smoked diffusers etc) and i would like to make my lug nuts black. i am not interested in springing for a set of NSX lugs however (PRICEY!!! ). so ....

question 1: anyone know of any black lug nuts that have ball seats (i.e. fit stock wheels) other than the nsx lugs or the spoon gray lugs (they were discontinued)?

question 2: if no one can answer question 1, can anybody tell me what would happen if i used some heavy duty exterior black spray paint on my lugs, making sure to tape the threads and seats and also making sure to put a load of exterior clear coat on top of the black. let me know what you all think.

question 3: if you all think question 2 is a no go, what if i used something more industrial, like a spray caliper paint for instance.

thanks

the paint will more likely chip off when you torque down the bolts eventhough you spray alot of paint to it.

Either CR lug huts or powder coating maybe.

not all paint are the same, the stuff you find in autozone is not industrial grade finish by any means.

but you are right, they are gonna chip neither way but spray paint will just be the worst adhesion that's all.
