Default Partshelper Spugen Replica Parts

Partshelper.com parts

So, anyone have experience with the replica parts by Spugen on partshelper.com? I did a search and found one old post where a couple people said the fit was good just the parts were a little thinner than desired. Any more experience recently?

I would love to have the Ings+1 kit but I'm not shelling out over $2,000 for a kit. They have the 4 piece kit for $650. Sounds too good to be true...

i'd suggest that you get a used authentic ings kit. that's what i did, and i am very happy with it. i've seen the fitment on the replica front bumper and it is a NIGHTMARE. huge, ugly gaps between the headlights and bumper. it looks like a high school project. i am SO happy that i waited and got an authentic one. the fitment on the rear bumer wasn't bad, but the quality is questionable. the authentic ings bumper did not fit 100% perfect on my car, but all of the other ones i've seen have fit maybe 95%. i was told that i was one of the very few that's had trouble fitting an ings kit.

this is the fitment of the replica ings front--HORRIBLE!

the rear is off by a little bit, which is probably not noticeable from far away. i'd be more forgiving on the rear because from all that i've seen, even OEM rear bumpers do not fit perfectly

i noticed the paint damage. but i don't think that if it was hit with considerable force, it would misalign the bumper before breaking it, especially considering the fact that it's not a hybrid material like the authentic one. i think the bumper would be broken up in the spot that got hit. also, if it did happen to misalign instead of break, i don't think it would misalign similarly on both sides. you can also see that the contour around the headlights is choppy and not smooth, so even if it fit better, there would still be gaps between the headlight and the bumper. you might also be able to see given the shape of the countour on the bumper that goes around the headlight, it would be difficult to adjust it to fit much better. if adjusted more than it is in the picture, it seems that it would be off on one side of the headlight or the other. this shows that it cannot be adjusted to fit much better. this isn't a picture of damage, though. it was a picture sent to me by a member who offered the bumper to me for sale. the other side fits pretty much the same:

if anyone still thinks my opinion of the replica ings front is off, please correct me.

i will say that the fitment of the rear and sides is pretty close to the real thing. i have the replica sides from them actually, and they fit pretty nicely. my rear is authentic, but here are some pics of the replica rear on someone else's car. my authentic one fits similarly. i'd say that anyone on a budget should invest in the authentic front but go with the replica sides and rear.
