Default Piolk Designs - eBrake Button

Has anyone succesfully installed one of these buttons on their e-brake? I took off my button yesterday and tried to install it, but it seems that the threads were too short and couldn't catch. I have a 2005 S2000 if that matters. Sent an email through their form last night and still no response...

Yes, I did pretty easily. Like within 30 seconds. I had a harder time removing the stock button with wrenches and shit, but got it with a vice grip. Just needed a good enough grip on it.
I also have a 2005.

You kinda need to push down the button as you screw it in. It'll catch. Try again, you got it!

It seems that the rod inside that's supposed to thread onto gets pushed back even with the gentlest touch...did you have that issue too?

You should be able to still screw it in when it's pushed down. It seemed to be on a spring, and I wasn't able to screw it in until the spring was fully engaged and all the way down.

My ebrake was pulled all the way up and I was parked. Not sure if it makes it any easier but that's what I did.

Got it! Thanks for the encouragement! However - new issue. Sometimes the button doesn't spring back all the way to lock. Not sure if this is the e-brake or something getting jammed inside the handle track? Not sure how to smooth it out either. It started doing this even when I had the stock button put back on when I couldn't put the Piolk button the first time around

It may not be screwed in all of the way... or possibly a small piece of plastic from the previous button broke off in the brake assembly. You could try unscrewing and looking in there with a flashlight then try rescrewing until it's tight. Spring also might be set weirdly. All things to consider.

Hope you guys can help. I am attempting to take off the Ebrake button on my 06. I am using vice grips and the button turns but it's not coming off. Can you provide some pointers?

Got it. I just had to continue the use of my vice grips on the button until it came loose.
