Default PlastiSmoked tail lights

I just finished 5 coats of plasti dip smoke followed by 4 coats of gloss. I HATE the way it looks. I've removed it. The reason I posted this was to save people time and show them that it is a terrible idea. You've been warned haha

from the last two thumbnails it looks like you took sandpaper across a nice clear tail light lens. Looks foggy instead of smoked to me if that makes sense

Agreed. I ripped it off and am so happy to have them clear again. Plasti dip is great that way I guess-just temporary and no detrimental affect to the surfaces. I feel bad for people who regretted using "nightshades" spray...that doesn't come off so easy

I'm not sure if you can polish plasti dip but that might've helped gloss it up a bit more. Currently in those pics it doesn't look good imo

Do yourself a favor and remove it. Then see if you can take the car to a local honda dealership and have those tail lights replaced (I'm assuming they are the ones that originally came with the car). Those faded tail lights have been recalled, so definitely worth a shot in having those replaced. Then having your stock tail lights will look good again.
