Ok so I busted out the scale and the weight isn't good...turns out...I gained a few pounds over the winter
Hah
Ok so the header alone is 11.2lbs
And the test pipe that came with it is 4lbs

I weighted them 3 times and those are the numbers
The scale I used was a pretty expensive digital scale too

hey op, did you get it dynoed? will it be before and after? thanks.

yeah i am eventually going to get it dyno'd hopefully soon too, i figured there really no need for a before after since its safe to say we all know ballpark what ap1's pt out stock more or less.

Unfortunately without a before and after same day or exact same conditions same car no way to know actual gains or losses. All dynos and cars read differently so can't compare to other AP1's with stock header etc.

Wow 11.2 pounds still isn't bad at all. Thanks man. Are you just waiting to get yours installed or something?

Diaz, I bought mine from pipi_outlet on ebay. He had the best price I've seen.

true indeed friend, but how much can you seriously expect out of a header for that price... i know it makes power and to me all that really matters is how much im putting out NOW.

now if i were on a serious quest to make serious gains then yes that would be the correct way of doing things.

trying to figure out if I want Jethot to coat the header.
Its $200 for the header and about $30-40 in shipping both ways
So for $240ish I can have it coated, not turn colors, and drop the temps by 30-40%
If I ship it out now it will take about 2 weeks

Heres what I was thinking.

That's pretty tempting, but I just plan to put it on as it is. The coating is only $100 or so less than I paid for the header itself.

I know, and the 250 I save if i Don't coat it could go towards the PRM intake.
Then again, I hear the PRM is subseptble to heat soak...which tha coating would help with
