RED definitely. If the valve cover came in black you'd be painting it red

Do you have a powder coat color that matches the OEM red? If not, you might find it is impossible to match the color exactly using powder coat.

Go with red.

My car is red and I don't care for the matching red valve cover. It's getting powder coated black soon. At least then there will be some contrast
