I have recently had a popping noise coming from the rear end. It appears to be related to the suspension movement. I happens maninly at lower speeds, for example, going over a speed bump. It's only one or two pops that come from the rear end when it happens.

I have replacd the axel nuts per recommendation and this did not resolve the problem.

The axels have 30K miles on them as well. Any assistance/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing, but had the car on the lift and they looked fine to me.

 

i hear that pop also when i go over speed bumps

 

im having the same problem..was thinking its either my axles or sway bars.. :\

 

i have the same problem . i check and retorque the whole rear end but still hear the pops. i think its come from somewhere in the trunk.....

 

Not normally considered a "popping"sound, but possibly your spare tire tie down nut thing
