Default poppin vtak

So my friend just bought a ap1 s2000 and wants to start modding it. He doesn't know which intake is the best for his money. I'm a Volkswagen guy so I don't know shit about Hondas. Which short ram intake would be the best for his money? He already took the cover of the air box off and I noticed it has a cone filter stock and it sounds pretty good like that but he wants something that will make his engine bay look better. Also he wants to get some sort of cat back exhaust. Which would be the cheapest cat-back exhaust with dual exits to buy? I know I could search all this and find it on this forum, but i'm lazy! So if you guys could help a brotha out that would be appreciated.

If he wants looks.
Mugen or pwjdm intake but they are far from cheap.
I think there are mugen replicas.
I've always been fan of the comptech.
Prm is a different looking ram intake.

Everyone goes with the kn fipk though.
I say just get a drop in kn filter and call it a day.

He is looking for something that will look a bit better and not too expensive. Also what exhaust would you buy for a good catback?

Tell him to get an AEM v2 intake, it makes good gains NA and then tell him to buy a magen 3 inch single exhaust with matching test pipe. That would be a pretty decent push in the right direction for very cheap.

Yeah the AEM is what he was looking at. He wants dual exit exhaust.

Bear in mind that the AEM requires some cutting and such to mount, and is a true cold air intake so the filter is down low and can cause hydrolock... The K&N FIPK is a great intake, looks nice, very high quality, gives some small gains (not gonna get big gains out of an intake on this car) It bolts right up and sounds good too.

And tell him to put his airbox lid back on as he is losing power to gain that "cool sound".

Agreed. If you don't want a CAI though, then get an FIPK.

This has been covered a LOT. Searching should answer most questions you have.
