Default pops when moving from a stop

I lowered my car a few weeks ago and did not have any problems until the other day. My car now makes a pop (more like a faint click) every time I accelerate from a stop. It does it once when i first get going and then is fine. It is not the rear end clunk some people get when they put their car into gear its real mild.

will the drive shaft spacers fix this? It is fine under heavy acceleration and doesnt vibrate when driving.

thoughts?

sorry if this is the wrong section. feel free to move if so.

thank you,
Jason

it could be your axle boots. Might want to check it or swap them from left or right if they are the cause.

I'll check and see if they are ripped or anything.

really? I thought this was only necessary if the rear-end clunked with you put the car in gear.

Could be axle nuts, or even the brakes setting.

My car makes this noise too! Sounds like it is coming from the rear end...

Most likely axle nuts. Try that first. I had the same problem when I bought my 02.

ok well i have not had time to re-torque the axle nuts. I am going to go to my buddies next week to do that (he has air tools)

I went to honda and they told me that wont fix the problem. I was told the knuckle in the earlier halfshaft design was known to bind up and make a clicking noise. the master tech told me this was likely the problem. The halfshafts are like 630 a piece from Honda though.... I am still going to re-torque the axle nuts and pray that solves the problem but if not, does anyone know of a cheaper place to get new half shafts?
