I'd recommend replacing the nuts as it's cheap insurance. My car does the same thing, but I haven't had a chance to replace/retorque them.

Mine started out only in reverse also. It's a light "tick" as the car starts to move.

this.

It started out doing occasionally but it does it almost every single time now. It is coming from the left side. Autozone has rebuilt half shafts for like 80 bucks after the core so i might just do this and be done with it...

ok well i have not had time to re-torque the axle nuts. I am going to go to my buddies next week to do that (he has air tools)

I went to honda and they told me that wont fix the problem. I was told the knuckle in the earlier halfshaft design was known to bind up and make a clicking noise. the master tech told me this was likely the problem. The halfshafts are like 630 a piece from Honda though.... I am still going to re-torque the axle nuts and pray that solves the problem but if not, does anyone know of a cheaper place to get new half shafts?
if anything in the axle was binding up it would do it all the time and possibly progress with speed...we see it a lot in the accords, vibration on accel its always the inner joints...i had a few s2000's with the issue you are descbribing and a retorqueing it did the tick..the nuts usually move 20-30 degrees from origional place...i couldbe wrong, but could be a free fix for you.

I would guess the axle nuts. If not try the WTB forums for parts.

Had this same issue on my old AP1. Replacing the axle nuts fixed the problem.
