Default powder coating oem calipers

Has anyone ever powder coated OEM brake calipers? I'm waiting for a BBK and I want to experiment with colors. Do I need to rebuild the caplier after I powder coat it?

Yes.

I would recommend COMPLETELY gutting the calipers, powder coating them and then re-assembling them.

The fronts are easiest, the rears are a bit more difficult to re-assemble but still doable.

A few pics.
