OEM HT is 44lbs.

You should do a search, this has been covered. You can gut the softtop and motor and everything and I *think* I remember reading it would save you 40 or 50lbs even with the OEM HT installed, but I may be wrong.

not a power gain you'll increase your power to weight ratio, braking, handling, everything but it'll only be a 30 pound difference so it wont do much but if you remove spare and tools get exhaust everything starts to add up.
also mugen CF is lighter

also factors in the aerodynamic advantage, esp when most of the track requires you to lower your soft top on the track

This along with the extra stiffening of the chassis is worth the price of a HT alone. If your car isn't lowered, drop the top and hit the highway around 80mph. If you have any rear instability like I did, a HT COMPLETELY eliminates it.

The OEM HT is a great mod and you can always easily sell it if need, esp when your car is black like mine.
