Default Puffo Intake Results

Im bringing an old topic back but I have recently tested this intake at the track and I have measured the results at the track. My car had a K&N FIPK and with it I have a max top speed on the TWS straight of 122.4mph. This top speed was measured at 60 degree weather. Usually I get pretty close to that top speed within a couple of tenths. Just by switching to the puffo intake my top speed went up to 125.2mph. This was in low 80s weather as well. Exit speeds at the exit prior to the straight were nearly identical. I have done countless of runs at TWS and all my runs were similar so i cant attribute this to driver improvement

Can you even buy this intake anymore? I thought this was a dead product.

Air is also less dense at a higher temperatures. That could play a factor in your top speed.

Ok I'll ask, did you ever run the same track with the K&N FIPK in close to the same temp as you did with the Puffo intake?
Have you "ever" hit that(125.2 mph) speed with the K&N FIPK?
If you still have the K&N FIPK intake, could you do a back to back testing of the two intakes?

Thanks,
ROD
p.s. How about a pic of the Puffo intake.

I can post a pic tomorrow.

Yes I have run the K&N on a range of temperatures from 50F to 100F and I always got similar top speeds, within 0.X mph, with slightly less speed on hotter days. I will post some GPS data as well.

The manufacturer is planning on relaunching it I believe. I was given a prototype for testing, I was very skeptical of the intake but I was handed one for test purposes so I thought trying it out wouldnt hurt as I can just revert to my good ol K&N if I wasn't satisfied.

The puffo had higher terminal speeds on a hotter day vs the lower terminal speeds on a cooler day with KnN. That alone is solid evidence that the puffo is effective.
I for one have been running the puffo since 2012. I have no reason to want to run anything else.

I have read that from others who have used that intake, mostly from the EU but if it works it works. If more people get it and see their times getting better, more and more will buy it. That's just the way things work.

Where did you source the intake?

I was given a prototype by the manufacturer for testing. We met at a track event and he saw that I was running a K&N. He offered to give me a prototype unit just to test since I was really skeptical about running anything so he said just try it out and tell me what you think. Called the guy back after my findings and reported back to him. He said if you like it so much then keep it. Needless to say I kept the intake on my car and gave the k&n away to a friend.
