Default PWJDM Intake Install

So I had some time after work today and thought I would try and install my Kevlar PWJDM Intake. Yet I have an 06 S and I have the 00 to 05 install guide. So I looked on PWJDM.com and I can't really see a difference in the guides. Anyway, I had a Fujita CAI on there. So I removed that. Now getting the scoop installed is what I am having trouble with. I removed the black a/c cover and then the black cross member bar. Only lighing up the brackets and bolts to the holes is just not working for me? How hard is this suppose to be? Anyone with up close pics of the scoop itself? I have searched and seen some pics but nothing really up close. I'm hitting the black a/c looking line behind the scoop. It's not letting me go back any further, thus keeping the brackets a bit to far away from the holes.

Any input or tips would be great!

Ah makes more sense now then. Mines just rubbing on the ac line and will not allow me to line up the brackets.
