Default Q regarding Greddy E-manage

Hey guys, a little confused..

I bought the car with the Greddy E-manage system installed. What is this thing used for? Im planning to replace the existing magnaflow exhaust with an HKS exhaust for a smoother sounding exhaust note. But do i need to re-tune the Emanage?

I also read something about disconnecting the battery and reconnecting - idle car for 10 seconds and turn off car. disconnect and reconnect battery again and start driving...

emanage is a piggyback ecu for tuning. are you switching from a dual to a single or dual to dual? i think youll be fine. if yours changing cataltic converter to test pipe you will need a tune.

the battery disconnect is for the oem ecu. it should be done when any parts are installed on the car that affect engine performace.

It is going from Dual to Dual. I will do the resetting of the oem ecu.

Thanks
