Default Question about front bumber

Hello everyone. I was involved in some not so responsible driving the on Friday day which is very unusal for me since I really try to take care of my car. Anyways I turned into my block and lost control of the car and hit a small palm tree. I didnt want to look at the damage so I just drove off and waiting till the morning. The great thing is that it wasnt too bad but the front bumber has some deep scratches and is kind of out of place. A friend of mine says that he can take care of it without replacing the front bumper.

Just in case my friend is a tad too optimistic I wanted to ask if anyone knew how much a from bumber for a 2003 s goes for? Also do they come already painted or is that something that I have to take care of.

I am always so very careful but this shows that even just one brain fart can really turn bad when not careful driving.

The front is roughly $300 with another $300 for paint. It is made of polypropyline plastic (PPP) and won't accept adhesive but can be plastic welded. Some people use filler too. It is fairly easy to re-adjust. Worth a shot anyway.

Thanks for the help.. the only part that is alctually torn is the lip right at the bottom and it looks like it can be filled in. I am just really pissed off right now about this. Hopefully my friend can take care of this for me.

thanks again.

Do you have pictures for reference? If it's on the bottom "lip" area as you said, then maybe it can be covered by an OEM lip spoiler?

Well I have the lip spoiler. The lip spoiler does have a tear but there is also some damage to the bumper itself. After taking a good look at I I think that it can just be adjusted a bit and just needs to be painted. I will just take off the spoiler, its a pain to park with that thing anyways.
