Default Question about tuning

Recently tuned my car on a dyno pack here with a apexi neo, im a little disappointed in the results. my stock baseline was 129 torque and 181 hp. After tune was 150 torque and 199 hp. My mods are t1r dual exhaust, rsr headers, t1r test pipe, pwjdm intake, spoon throttle body and apexi neo. Is these readings correct seems a little low.

Your overall gain from base to tuned seems great. I wouldn't be so concerned about peak numbers some dynos read higher than others

21+tq
18+hp

i'm not sure if you're posting to brag that you got good results, or you really just have no idea about tuning an NA car? First, this isn't a turbo car, like a GTI, where you can add 40 hp and 60 lb of torque. 2nd, adding 21 lbs of torque and 18 hp is very respectable with some bolt ons. 3rd, if you are upset that you are only at 199 hp, the hp on dynos are different everywhere. You may take your car that now has 199 hp and run it on a different dyno and it will produce 250 hp. It's not about the overall numbers but the amount of power u gained from the mods and tune. If you are concerned about the overall top number, drive around to dynos until you can find a dyno that give you higher numbers..FTL

How is this considered bragging? Did it not say question about tuning in this thread, i was merely comparing my dyno and showing the public to see if this is somewhat right. I saw in the N/a thread people posting 220-240 whp with simple mods w/ a tune i believe. You are right dynoes are different everywhere, and are you for real this isnt like a turbo car who wouldve known. Being serious now i wasnt expecting spectacular results, i was posting the stats to see if my car was underpowered or if it is somewhat on par with other cars on dynapack. I am not concerned about top hp, N/A wouldnt be the route to take for that. Thanks for the reply, but next time leave just the facts and the smart talk behind greatly appreciate it.

Similar to my results from a delta perspective, which as mentioned, is the key. I also used a NEO.

Do note that I tuned my own car and the above results were achieved in 30 minutes of tuning. It was my first time personally tuning a car so I'm not sure how much more I would've gained had a "pro" tuned it. I will be heading back in the near future to do a re-tune since I want to lower VTEC to ~5k.

altitude, weather, dynotype all affect the results. dont get caught up in the peak number. post the dynos!
