rofl, already asking about the discount huh bottle?! i'm just happy to have the damn things in my hands finally!
oh don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic about finally getting my set. But that discount is going to help pay to get these things installed. So yea, I'm anxious about that too.

so as i'm getting the clear diffusers all taped up to mulderize... i see that there are a lot of contaminants in the plastic... and even some small air bubbles. I will take pictures tonight... but luckily these will be covered for me after i mulderize

Jeff. If Rick's is planning on keeping these for production, may i suggest a different machinist? I do understand the family issues he was having, for how long he took on them, and having little red contaminants in clear plastic, and air bubbles, I feel that it isn't what you (Ricks) paid for. The right lens looks fine, but my Left lens is pretty bad...

The bottom corner on the left lens is a little different from the right lens, no sharp edges and looks like theres a good amount of extra plastic. Again, not biggy seeing how i'm going to be sanding them for mulderizing, i'm going to clean that corner up a little...

All in all, i'm happy with the lenses, but if i wasn't mulderizing them, i might of wanted to send them back for replacement simply because the left one has like 8 small internal specs in the upper right corner (the most noticeable corner of all the diffuser.)

I noticed the same thing on mine to be honest. But like you I am mulderizing them, so all of the contaminants that I found will be covered by that.

I will talk to the manufacture about it.

These are hand made/molded. So a small bubble here or there is common. But the contamination should not be there.

Thanks

Also if anyone is not happy with them once they get them, they are welcome to return them for a refund.

Thanks Jeff. I totally expected some small bubbles here or there, they are not professionally injection molded. But i agree, the contamination should not be there. they almost looked like pink eraser specs from a pencil. I'll see if i can't find pictures for you.

i do'nt think i sanded it yet.
