Default Rear brakes for AP2

Hi,

Anyone could advise me about whether is it possible to install a pair of caliper brakes on the rear without affecting the movement of the hood?

I'm intending to install the Greddy turbo bolt-on kit but i'm more comfortable to have it with the rear brakes....or even, is it necessary?

Hope i could get some helpful advise here.

THank you very much.

ST.

rear brakes dont do much of the braking at all..
if you want more stopping power.. get the fronts instead and even those are not really needed

FI it and see how the brakes handle before you decide to upgrade
you plan on DD this car?

DD stands for daily driver. He probably asked that to see if you had another car to drive while you were working on you s2k.

as far as the brakes go, the honda s2k is basically a track car. it already has very good brakes. I do admire the way you think though. Alot of people "forget" about the brakes when they are modding a car. From what ive seen of s2k's on youtube.com and what not, i would say the brakes are very capable, unless you will be reaching very very high speeds.

good luck and happy modding!

Yes....my s2k is DD, though i've extra vehicle to use while modding.

Guess i'll use the cash to replace something than the rear brakes.

Thanks for the advise fromm Jimmy and R3D.

fit decent pads, discs and braided lines to the rear to help

even use an aftermarket carrier bracket to space the caliper away from the hub to obtain extra breaking power but you'll do well to exceed the capabilities of the oe rear braking system
