The 70-EM will likely net you more horsepower, but I found it too bass-y (aka, what I consider drone) between 3-4k rpm even with a test pipe. I was at a phase where I loved loud exhausts, but wanted something more friendly for passengers/dating - the 70-EM was NOT the solution for me. It was quieter than the 70R Sparrow that I loved and still had too much rumble between 3-4k to be passenger friendly, so I hated it.

I've heard that the Milltek 70mm exhaust it supposed to be quiet, but 1) its expensive for the dual, and 2) it's relatively new, so there's not much information out there about it. It's supposed to be drone free so I considered it, but I doubt it's as drone-free as a Gernby exhaust, so I found it hard to justify the cost for the duals.

Invidia Q300 W/70mm Invidia Test pipe

Love mine
Looks sick
Sounds sick

Keep your cat if you want it more quiet although the Test Pipe is a geat modification for a bolt on.

TP's don't gain anything without a tune, and even then it's not worth the loud. With a cat the Q300 sounds pretty nice, without one it's ear piercing and annoying as hell.

Or, another thought...

Don't buy an exhaust, as it's not going to really make much power anyways and use the money towards driver mods (ie. autocross or track day)?

Good investment and an extremely high ROI: Driving education
Horrible investment: Car mods, especially exhaust mods.

I guess the dyno was broken when I made more power with a test pipe vs stock. No tune here
