Default Removing the airbag system.

Does anyone know if i remove the entire airbag system will the light go on? If the light does go on is there a way to keep it off with the airbag system removed?

i am caging my car so the air bags will not be needed.

you can wire in a resistor into the system to fool it into thinking the bag is there.

The SRS system includes the seatbelts which auto-retract and freeze, might want to think about that too

Ok, I'm not sure how well it'll work but you could try the resistor trick on everything.

However, I know the SRS ECU (under your radio) is one time use, so I'm not sure if you trigger it (collision, hard bump on track...?) if the SRS light will stay off.

you could just pop open your gauge cluster and pull the SRS light and the entire system? (seatbelts, airbags, ecu?)

Here in ny you cannot have any lights on for inspection. Even if I pull the light, it will still show up on the obd2 reading

Ok, then I suggest just using the resistor trick, the resistance value is on this forum somewhere.. Just make sure you dont set off the SRS ECU, or purchase a few from people who don't need it

I want to remove Everything, so the resistor trick for the steering wheel won't work for me i'm pretty sure. i am pulling out all bags, seatbelts, all wiring and srs ecu. How do i keep the light from comming on?
