I have a similar set-up. Just using the Seeker shift collar instead. Essentially the same deal. Can't imagine going back to stock.

My shifter started to rattle once I put on a 267 gram NSX Alex Zanardi titanium shift knob while cruising in 4th or 5th. I didn't notice this with the OEM leather knob. I need to do some more testing and make sure it wasn't just a loose nob or because I have the center console off and I'm noticing it more than normal. I asked the S2000 guru's and was told this was a combination of:
- The metal shifter collar is causing to transfer the vibrations through the shifter, while the soft plastic one would dampen them.
- Short shifters have a tendency to rattle more than OEM ones.
- Installing a heavier shift knob can increase the chance of the shifter to rattle.

I'm not a fan of the short shifter. I put one into my first AP1 and after about 6 or 7 track days, I pulled it and sold it.

I spent a lot of time with another in my AP2 only to come to the same decision but only after 4 track days with it.

I find that my countersunk shift knob allows me to shift into all forward gears easily even with just three fingertips even through the sift gate such as a down shift from 5 to 4 as entering the shift zone at the end of a long straight.

I would recommend trying one if at all possible before buying one.

Just an updated review, since having installed it back in Feb 2017, shifter has broken in and the notchiness is definitely gone now. Had this paired with a Moddiction countersunk Anvil and this is just a badass buttery set up. Still one of my favorite mods.

Still loving mine. I paired it up with the Renegade Shift knob they also sell and the finish is exactly identical to the shifter's. A lovely combo to look at as well as to shift with.

thanks for the reply! would you say the shifts are crisp, precise with less play in between gears?

It is so worth it. Once the tranny is warmed up its smooth as butter. Love it. Much better than the axial flow i had. Hated that shifter
