i'm already anticipating to get the whole long block if anything. i'm still waiting to hear what really is going on. if it's valve seals, i can live with that. if its bottom block, im getting a whole new use long block.

alright guys, looks like i'm getting my S back this friday. piston rings on cylinder #4 is jacked up. no compression coming out from it. So i'm doing a 05 ap2 swap with 15k miles on the motor!!! i can't wait to drive my S

Would a spun bearing cause low compression ?
The OP wrote about small particles on the spark plug, low compression on one cylinder, oil burn and loud noises.
How could someone think is a spun bearing???

If your CEL was blinking the engine is done. That means something serious is going on inside of your engine.
In many cases it could be a failed sensor also!
Please stop giving advices about things you obviously don't understand. The "spun bearing" issue here in this thread is another example. It doesn't help.
it's almost been a week since i got my S2k back and it's running super smooth!! anyhow, the old motor were taken apart and looks like cylinder # 4 is really jacked up. the valve stems were crack as well. only if i can post some pics on here, i'll show you guys what that nasty damage looks like. ITS NASHTY
This looks weird.
The Exhaust valves of #4 are damaged, the intake valves are OK.
Also the piston of #4 looks good. What was broken exactly?
You wrote the valve stems were cracked? In the pictures the valves are all on their places.
