Replacing radiator at 90k
hi everyone, i am about to do a 90,000 mile major service to my car (oil/filter, transmission, diff, coolant flush, spark plugs, belts, valve adjustment etc etc) to my 00 s2k.
i was wondering if i should just go ahead and put a new radiator in or wait till it cracks? i figure my radiator is old so i should do this, but is this necessary?

If you temps are fine, assuming no build-up/deposits on the radiator core, I don't see the advantage of replacing it. If you have future plans involving of heavy mods (FI, N2O, extreme NA build), racing, or just want a "better" look under the hood. You may as well do it all in one shot. IMO it is not necessary assuming all is well with the temps.
Make sure your watching your coolant levels and temperature gauges often just in case.....
i strongly disagree there was nothing wrong with my radiator at 120k but driving 65 down the highway the top cracked and fluid sprayed out everywhere and immediatly my car started over heating. i say replace it with an all aluminum radiator its worth it if you drive the car the way its meant to be driven. $240 for a radiator is better than $4,000 for a replacement engine. IMO
